#free #doingitright #makeitmeaningful

All the family is invited to join us to celebrate Easter this year. We have fun activities and crafts that the family can do together, and interesting ways to learn the reason for the season. It’s all free and there is no need to register. We are located on Tower Road, Clacton-on-Sea, and there is parking onsite – find us here.

We can’t wait to see you!

Easter egg hun

We enjoy our faith and so we are planning on having our Easter egg hunt in church at about 12:00 after our service on Easter Sunday. Join us from 10:30 for activities and crafts and finish with this Easter tradition here at St James’s.

We are using our regular craft based service as our inspiration on Easter Sunday. There will be activities and crafts for all the family running alongside our traditional Easter Sunday Service to make it easier for all the family to join in. Our regular Messy service is on the second Thursday of each month.

Experience Easter explores the story of Jesus’ death and resurrection through a number of ‘stations’ or displays. Each one contains words and objects to help us understand what happened across those few days almost 2,000 years ago.

What about something more traditional?

Alongside our special family Easter Sunday this year we will still be holding a more traditional church service with our choir and hymns. If you want to really emerse yourself in the Easter Experience, join us for the special service that make up the ‘Easter Triduum’ during Holy Week. These service recount the events leading up to Christ’s death, and then the celebration of His resurrection at the Easter Vigil, the first mass of easter, where we light a bonfire and see our church move from darkness to light.
