A whole range of groups meet in our parish, some for fellowship, some for study, some for worship. We hope that there might be one or more things you are interested in attending. As well as these regular groups, there are often one off events taking place soon, so check out our news and events page as well.

Fourth Friday in the month at 1415

The Mother's Union was the first organisation to be founded in the parish and was instrumental in campaigning and fundraising to have St James's built.

Originally this organisation focused on helping those in the community to raise their families and keep there homes.

The Mother's Union today is open to all and is an international charity that focuses on care of the family, whatever shape that might take and wherever they might be.

Our Choirs

Friday at 18:30/1900 and Sunday at 10:30

We have two choirs, an adult and a youth choir. The meet for rehearsals on Friday's and then join us on Sunday where they lead the singing in our worship. The choir is a great opportunity to meet new people and sing.

Those interesting in joining should contact one of the team who'd be happy to point them in the direction of our choir leaders.

Friday's, 1000-1200

A playgroup with a story and activity appropriate for pre-school aged children, although siblings are always welcome. Once a month our story is taken from the bible, and at other times we share some much loved books.

Parent's, carers, childminders, grandparents, all are welcome to come with their little ones!

Tuesday Coffee Morning

0930-1130

This community coffee morning is open to all. An opportunity to drop by and share in coffee and conversation. There is always a warm welcome from our team serving coffee and those on the stalls raising money for the Church.

If you need specific help or advice then just speak to our volunteers who will be happy to help.

A short 10 minute service, open to all, takes place in the church next door during the coffee morning.

 Thursday, 1615-1815 once a month

Church, but not as you've known it. This is activity based worship where we explore the stories of the bible through arts and crafts. It's particular focused at primary school aged children though siblings are also welcome.

As well as activities, there is fun, fellowship and food. We always finish with a hot meal shared together.

Bible Study

Thursday, once a month

Our bible study groups meet in someone's home once a month to delve deeper into the scriptures and share they're thoughts, feelings and questions about what they are reading.

It isn't a study group and is open to anyone who wants to find out more about God's word.
