We are celebrating Corpus Christi on Sunday 11th June – why not join us? After such a successful round of evensongs, we are preparing something a little special for this Christian festival where we remember Christ’s presence with us in the Eucharist – our meal of bread and wine. If you like quality music or are looking for something that transcends the everyday and brings us into the presence of God then this is for you!
Evensong is a sung evening service with readings that is an ancient part of the Church’s worshiping tradition. In places where there are choirs, it is often sung and there is some fantastic music planned for our one. We have a special bumper choir, where or regular members will be joined by other local singers to lead us in our worship. The culmination of the service will be a special blessing and devotion lead by Fr Justin, our parish priest.
