Nothing could be better on a cold winters night, just before Christmas, than coming to our candlelight carol service. In the hushed darkness of the church, lit by twinkling candles we hear the story of the first Christmas unfold through our readings. We join in singing some of those much loved traditional carols. Finally you are invited to share in a mulled wine and minced pie to warm you on your way.

24th December 16:00 – Crib and Christingle Service

If this isn’t already a Christmas tradition, then there is no time like the present to get started as you are definitely missing out! This family service focuses around the Children (although all are welcome) and looks to harness some of that Christmas magic to teach the real reason for the season. We make Christingles, put together an impromptu nativity with willing volunteers from the congregation, and sing some much loved carols. Like all good birthday’s you won’t be able to leave without a little bit of cake for your journey home!

24th December 23:30 – Midnight Mass

Don’t let the name fool you, this service spans midnight, it starts a little earlier. If you have ever thought about popping along to church at some point, then this is the one for you. At this service we join with the angels of heaven in proclaiming the birth of Jesus in our music and worship. This is an opportunity to take communion for those who wish to. All are invited to share in this solemn celebration of the season at your parish church.
