A blessing on your house
This Sunday we celebrate Epiphany in our parish. In accordance with church tradition, we will be blessing pieces of chalk for people to take away at the end of the service.
The chalk is used to write a special formula on the lintels, doors or wall of your home as form of blessing for all those who live in that place or visit it throughout the year.
The chalk markings are an encouraging sign of faith to those who recognise them, and also a conversation starter for those who have never encountered them.
